Billy Sizemore is an American bluegrass and old-time musician, originally from Virginia. Born into a family of traditional musicians, he began playing music at the age of six and spent his childhood and teenage years learning and playing various traditional instruments. At seventeen, Sizemore joined the Bluegrass Reunion, an internationally recognized group. He later became a member of several bands including the Newgrass Reunion, the Greenbrier Boys, and the Bluegrass Cardinals. In 1995, he formed his own group, the Billy Sizemore Band. In addition to his work with various groups, Sizemore has recorded several solo albums including "Billy Sizemore: Traditional Music of the Southern Appalachians" and "Old-Time Songs and Tunes from the Virginia Mountains."
