She made her debut in the music industry in 2010 with her song "Jar of Hearts," which was used in the American television series "So You Think You Can Dance." In 2011, she released her first studio album, "lovestrong.," which reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200. In 2014, she released her second studio album, "Head or Heart," which reached the top 20 of the Billboard 200. In 2016, she released her third studio album, "The Things We Do."
