BIOGRAPHY
Zedd is a German music producer, DJ, and composer, born on September 2, 1989, in Saratov, Russia. At the age of four, he immigrated with his family to Germany and grew up in Kaiserslautern. He started playing the drums in a rock band at the age of 12. After discovering the music production software Fruity Loops at the age of 14, he began producing his own electronic music tracks.
In 2009, Zedd was discovered by German producer Skrillex, who later released his first single, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites". The single became an international success, reaching number one in the US and Canada. In 2012, Zedd released his first album, Clarity, which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in the US. His second album, True Colors, was released in 2015 and peaked at number four on the Billboard 200. His most popular songs include "Clarity" with Foxes, "Stay" with Alessia Cara, "Break Free" with Ariana Grande, "The Middle" with Maren Morris, and "I Want You to Know" with Selena Gomez.
In addition to his solo career, Zedd has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Hayley Williams, Liam Payne, and Camila Cabello. In 2018, Zedd was named Producer of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
