Anne-Marie, whose real name is Anne-Marie Nicholson, is a British singer and songwriter born on April 7, 1991 in East Tilbury, Essex.
Anne-Marie grew up in a musical household: her mother was a karaoke singer and her father was a DJ. She started singing and dancing at the age of three. At seven years old, she joined the local amateur theatre group Swindon Dance Company. She later studied at the London Dance and Music Conservatoire.
In 2009, Anne-Marie made her professional debut playing the role of Polly Browne in the musical Les Misérables. In 2010, she played the role of Dewdrop in the ballet Cinderella at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 2012, Anne-Marie made her debut as a singer by signing a contract with the major label Atlantic Records. In 2013, she released her first single, "Summer Girl". Her first album, Speak Your Mind, was released in 2018 and reached number one on the UK charts. In 2019, she released her second album, Perfect to Me.
Anne-Marie has won numerous awards, including two Brit Awards, a MTV Europe Music Award, and a MTV Video Music Award.
