Jeffrey "Def Jeff" Hardy is an American music artist, born on August 31, 1977 in Cameron, North Carolina. Hardy is known for his eclectic music style, ranging from rock to rap to metal and punk. Hardy began his musical career playing in local hardcore punk bands, before co-founding the alternative rock band Peroxwhy?gen in 1998. In 2002, Hardy launched his solo career with the album The Willing, followed by the album Jeff Hardy in 2004. Hardy also acted in the film The Longest Yard in 2005.
