BIOGRAPHY

Mhammed El Alami is a musical artist born in 1977 in Rabat, Morocco. He is known for his songs and compositions that draw inspiration from chaâbi, Gnawa, and raï music. El Alami began his musical career playing chaâbi with his older brother in the cafes and clubs of Rabat. He later studied music at the National Conservatory of Music in Morocco. In 2000, he launched his solo career with the album "Nayda", which was a commercial success and helped establish El Alami's reputation on the Moroccan music scene. In 2006, El Alami released his second album, "Rwah Gbali", which was even more successful than the first. He also began touring abroad, performing in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. In 2010, El Alami released his third album, "Nayda 2", which solidified his status as a star of Moroccan music. He was also invited to perform at the Mawazine Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the world. In 2012, El Alami released his fourth album, "Hwaya Mnin", which was critically acclaimed and propelled him onto the international stage. He was also invited to perform at the Glastonbury Festival, one of the largest music festivals in England. In 2014, El Alami released his fifth album, "Nayda 2.0", which was even more successful than the previous ones. He was also invited to perform at the Coachella Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the United States. El Alami is considered one of the best Moroccan music artists of his generation. His songs and compositions are a blend of chaâbi, Gnawa, and raï music, and he has been able to blend tradition and modernity in his music, earning him recognition as one of the best representatives of contemporary Moroccan music.
