Tears for Fears to jest brytyjski zespół rockowy, założony w 1981 roku przez Roland Orzabal i Curt Smith. Ich debiutancki album „The Hurting” został wydany w 1983 roku i osiągnął pierwsze miejsce w brytyjskich listach przebojów. Drugi album zespołu, „Songs from the Big Chair”, odniósł międzynarodowy sukces, zajmując pierwsze miejsce w Stanach Zjednoczonych i zawierając single „Everybody Wants to Rule the World” i „Shout”. Trzeci album Tears for Fears, „The Seeds of Love”, został wydany w 1989 roku i osiągnął drugie miejsce w brytyjskich listach przebojów. Zespół rozpadł się w 1991 roku, ale reaktywował się w 2004 roku, co było poprzedzone wydaniem albumu „Everybody Loves a Happy Ending”.
