BIOGRAPHY

"A Split Second is a Belgian electronic music group, initially active from 1985 to 1995 and again from 2010. The group was founded by Marc Ickx and Dirk Ivens. Ickx and Ivens met in the early 1980s and were both involved in the Belgian new wave and industrial music scenes. Ivens was a member of The Klinik and Dive, while Ickx was a member of The Neon Judgement. Ickx and Ivens decided to form a new band and released their first single, "Kong," in 1985. The band's first album, "Flesh," was released in 1986 and featured the singles "Kong," "Stigmata," and "Flesh." The album was a commercial and critical success, and the band went on numerous tours to promote it. The band's second album, "From the Inside," was released in 1988 and featured the singles "From the Inside," "The Rhythm of Time," and "Heartbeat." The album was again a commercial and critical success, and the band went on numerous tours to promote it. The band's third album, "Maldoror," was released in 1991 and featured the singles "Maldoror," "Fire," and "Rise."
