Jan Wayne is a German musical artist born on June 16, 1974, in Dortmund. He is known for his songs Tell Me Why and Because the Night, popularized by German DJ and producer Paul van Dyk. In the 1990s, Jan Wayne began his musical career playing techno music in German clubs. His first album was released in 1999, followed by two other albums in 2000 and 2001. In 2003, he released his first single, Tell Me Why, which became a hit in Germany and Europe. The following year, he released his second single, Because the Night, which was successful thanks to Paul van Dyk. In 2006, Jan Wayne released his fourth album, The Power of Love, followed by a fifth album in 2007. In 2009, he released his sixth album, The Best of Jan Wayne, which included covers of his greatest hits.
